A star player on the University of Connecticut’s women’s field hockey team has been arrested for allegedly stealing $34 worth of makeup.

Charlotte Veitner, 22, was detained Sunday at the UConn campus bookstore after staff told police she tried to conceal cosmetic items inside a bag, according to the Hartford Courant.

The police report stated that Veitner, who was the nation’s leading scorer last season with 34 goals including two that took the team to its fifth national championship in November, was seen on bookstore surveillance footage putting the makeup into her shoulder bag.

She then paid for another item before trying to exit the store, at which point store security guards detained her.
