Stephanie Rice breaks down in tears on SAS Australia as Ant Middleton sends her home

Stephanie Rice broke down in tears as Ant Middleton kicked her off SAS Australia on Monday night following her shoulder injury.

The Olympic Gold Medalist, 35, dislocated her shoulder last week while handling a live grenade during a challenge.

Despite wanting to continue on the show, Ant told Stephanie she would be heading home because she is at risk of injury herself severely.

‘Yesterday you proved to me and the rest of the DS [directing staff] that you want to be here, you want to push through which is nothing but commendable,’ he said.

‘But you’re at risk of really really damaging yourself. I don’t want that for you. It’s with an extremely heavy heart that I’m going to have to take you off this course.’
