Stephen A. Smith appearance on NewsNation during Biden-Trump debate coverage leaves viewers stunned: ‘This man is everywhere!’

ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith made a surprise appearance on NewsNation’s coverage of the first Presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

Biden and Trump went head to head in a televised debate Thursday night ahead of this year’s Presidential election, which is slated to take place in November.

While the verbal warfare between the two men descended into chaos at times – with a number of bizarre jibes exchanged – sports fans were most stunned to see Smith cover the debate as a guest panelist on NewsNation.

The First Take host, known for his animated analysis of a wide-range of sports, featured alongside host Chris Cuomo and radio personality Adam Carolla on the television network’s broadcast.

Viewers quickly took to social media to express their shock at his newfound role, with one writing: ‘ESPN had Stephen A. Smith doing [NBA] draft coverage a couple hours ago & now he’s on Debate coverage. THIS MAN IS EVERYWHERE’.

Another joked: ‘Stephen A doing side missions now’.

A third commented: ‘Bro everywhere’.

‘WTH is Stephen A Smith doing there,’ another said along with a series of laughing emojis, ‘he’s a “sports guy”’.

While one simply asked: ‘When did Stephen A Smith become a political pundit?’

Smith appears every weekday on ESPN’s First Take show and is also the face of the network’s NBA coverage.

The 56-year-old has been discussing Biden and Trump’s upcoming election on his podcast of late, and after watching them lock horns Thursday he made his feelings clear on social media.

‘So do y’all finally want to stop arguing with me about Biden now??? Have your fears now been confirmed? @MichelleObama. @VP,’ Smith wrote about the current President on X.

‘Somebody. Please help! Biden’s team WANTED this? His staff, His loved ones…. How could you put him out there like that! How could you!’

Experts are calling for Biden to stand aside as leader of the Democrats following his performance in the debate, which saw him briefly lose his train of thought just minutes in.

The 81-year-old also appeared to fumble his words on other occasions, raising concerns over his ability to lead the country for another term.
