Jordan Henderson has been offered a staggering deal worth more than £700,000 per week to join Al-Ettifaq and become the Saudi Arabia’s statement signing.
Liverpool’s captain will hold talks with Jurgen Klopp over the next 24 hours to determine what the future holds for him at Anfield but the prospect of him linking up with Steven Gerrard, who was recently appointed Al-Ettifaq’s manager.
Henderson still has two years remaining on a contract at Anfield that is believed to be worth in the region of £190,000-per-week but Al Ettifaq are so determined to sign him that they would be prepared to more than quadruple his salary.
They would also need to pay Liverpool a significant transfer fee, certainly more than the £17million Al Hilal paid Chelsea for Khalidou Koulibaly.
The 33-year-old, who returned to training on Tuesday in outstanding shape following a relentless summer training programme, has been aware of interest from Al Ettifaq for more than two weeks and there is no question it has given him a huge decision to make.

At the crux of everything will be what role Klopp has in mind for him next season. Henderson is desperate to be at the heart of Liverpool’s attempt to challenge Manchester City once again but it is not certain that he will be a regular starter.
Klopp has signed Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Sbozoszlai to bolster his midfield this summer and played Trent Alexander-Arnold in that position towards the end of last season.
