Stormzy promised his girlfriend Maya Jama that he will join her in Mallorca ‘at some point’ on Instagram on Friday as the new series of Love Island draws closer.

The rapper, 30, sat in the back of a car with Maya, 29, as the Love Island presenter detailed on her Story the busy few days she has coming up.

Maya said: ‘I am Katy B – On A Mission today. Just did a talk for Snapchat, [at] Soho Farmhouse, and then I’m off to Amsterdam, and then I’m off to Spain the next day. 

‘So, this is go-time, ratatata!’ Maya said as she imitated the sound of bullets going off.

Turning to cuddle into Stormzy, Maya asked with exaggerated sadness: ‘And you’re not coming with me, are you?’

The platinum-selling rapper, 30, joked: ‘Too right’ before promising: ‘I’m gonna come Spain at some point.’ 

Maya reiterated for her followers: ‘He’s gonna come Spain at some point.’ 

The twelfth series of Love Island, Maya’s fourth in charge, airs in 10 days, and rumoured contestants have already emerged.

It was revealed earlier in May that Grace Jackson, already followed by Molly-Mae Hague and Conor McGregor, will participate. 

On Friday, it was reported Love Island had signed stunning Welsh model Nicole Samuel – and former star Scott van-der-Sluis is already a fan’.

Non-league footballer Ronnie Vint, who was best man at Love Island alum Olivia Attwood’s wedding, will also be taking part. 

Tuesday saw news spread of Patsy Field, born with a disability named Erb’s palsy, joining the cast.

Earlier in May, Maya attended the Buckingham Palace Garden Party where she joked around with King Charles.

The TV host said: ‘Nice to meet you. Well, I’ve actually met you before, a long time ago. About something with the Prince’s Trust and I touched you. I wasn’t supposed to. This time I won’t.’ 

The Royal then asked her: ‘How are you getting on?’

‘I host Love Island. I don’t know if you watch that though. That’s like a reality dating show. That’s what I do,’ Maya said.

The first teaser for the new series aired at the end of April and featured Maya with a flamethrower of all things.

Bosses will be hoping series 12 pulls in a lot more viewers than All Stars which, though it had a promising start, ended up being the least-watched series since the show’s 2015 debut.

Love Island returns on ITV2 and ITVX on June 3 at 9pm.
