Getting arrested on a night out is never a good look and a mug shot is rarely going to capture a person’s best side.
It is likely that the photograph will be made public and you could be embarrassed to find that your bleary-eyed expression has become the talk of the town.
If you think that’s bad enough, imagine getting apprehended and hauled in front of a police camera while dressed in a full-body cow costume.
That’s what happened to Michelle Allen, of Middletown, Ohio, after her drunken antics left her in trouble with the law back in 2008.
Her hilarious snap has now re-emerged online along with a series of other mugshots of people who were unfortunate enough to be wearing a costume when they were arrested.
Facepaint, clown costumes and even Batman feature in the bizarre collection shown below.
