Strictly Come Dancing finalist Bobby Brazier’s grandmother is frozen out of the family’s Christmas celebrations amid ongoing feud with star’s father Jeff Brazier

Strictly Come Dancing finalist Bobby Brazier’s grandmother has been shunned from the family’s Christmas celebrations as a result of a long-running feud.

Jackiey Budden has been left ‘very upset’ by the snub over her rift with the star’s dad – the television presenter Jeff Brazier.

Bobby will instead spend the festive season with his famous father, younger brother Freddy and his stepmum Kate.

It comes after Ms Budden, the mother of Bobby’s late parent Jade Goody, was banned from going to the studio to watch the actor take part in Strictly.

Confirming that Ms Budden would not be joining the family at Christmas, a friend said ‘she is very upset and would do anything to see the boys’. She will instead spend tomorrow (Monday) at her south east London flat.

The friend told The Mail on Sunday: ‘It’s tremendously sad for Jackiey, the boys are really the only family she has left since Jade died.

‘She would give anything to be with them on the day, to give them their presents and tell them how much she loves them.

‘While Jackiey is the first to accept that she isn’t your ordinary nan, that she is a bit whacky and at times difficult, she is still human and wants to see them. It’s the end to a very special year for Bobby and she would just love to be there to celebrate with him.’

Ms Budden, 66, and Mr Brazier, who has looked after the boys since Ms Goody’s death from cervical cancer in 2009, fell out some years back and have not been able to repair their relationship.

Earlier this month, she described her late daughter’s ex, who has been attending the shows at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire with youngest son Freddy, as a ‘c**k’.

In September, Ms Budden was forced to pay for her own ticket to watch Bobby, 20, pick up the rising star award at the National Television Awards.

Previously, Mr Brazier put the fall-out down to Ms Budden buying the two boys inappropriate presents such as phones and even a hamster, which he has had to confiscate or return.

In 2021 Bobby confirmed in an Instagram video that he was back in contact with his grandmother after losing touch.

He said: ‘I didn’t see her for ages – for way too long – but I went to see her twice recently. And honestly if there’s one woman you shouldn’t underestimate, it’s my nan. Honestly, she’s like a wizard! It’s nuts.’

The pair also joined up last year for a charity walk in honour of Ms Goody, who shot to fame on reality show Big Brother in 2002.
