Strictly Come Dancing’s stars fall over in hilarious blooper reel

The stars of Strictly Come Dancing’s 2020 series appeared in an amusing blooper reel, which was shared by BBC One on Thursday.

Maisie Smith was left in hysterics when she fell over after pro partner Gorka Marquez attempted to throw her over his shoulders in a dramatic lift, while Jacqui Smith accidentally hit Anton Du Beke in the groin.

In the hilarious look behind-the-scenes, HRVY was also seen toppling over when they were recording a video in front of a sparkling backdrop that dropped to the floor to reveal the green screen behind them.

After falling over, HRVY joked: ‘I’m fine don’t worry, I’m just proving that I’m funny.’

Meanwhile, practising a dance Ranvir Singh fell into her pro partner Giovanni Pernice as she tried to twirl into his arms for one of their dances.

During a break from their rehearsals, Clara Amfo collapsed onto a sofa while she was sat beside Aljaž Škorjanec who looked to the camera with a confused expression.

Rehearsing their couples choice dance, Jamie Laing tried to jump dramatically onto a platform with Karen Hauer but managed to knock his knee as he did so.

Caroline Quinten and Johannes Radebe also shared an amusing moment when they were making a fun video where she pretended his legs were hers while sat atop him.

Getting confused, Caroline almost fell over as she laughed and claimed: ‘I suddenly thought you were my knees and I lent on them and I couldn’t feel them!’

Showing how tiring the programme can get, Caroline was seen falling asleep on Johannes, while HRVY crawled across the floor in exhaustion.

Jason Bell was also seen practising with Luba Mushtuk, however the professional dancer got stuck as he lifted her onto his shoulders and couldn’t get down.

Dancing together in a fun VT, Bill Bailey tripped himself up while twirling with his pro partner Oti Mabuse, before she later hit him in the face accidentally. 

It wasn’t just the stars who were falling over themselves, as Gorka tried to do a somersault while with Maisie but landed incorrectly which led him to fall on the floor.

At the end of the fun video, Dianne Buswell was seen hitting Max George with one of the inflatable donuts they used during their The Simpsons’ themed dance they performed during Movie’s Week. 

Maisie, HRVY, Bill and Jamie are set to go head-to-head to win the Glitterball trophy in Strictly’s live final on Saturday night.
