Viewers tuning into week four of the BBC show were left hot under the collar as the Olympic swimmer, 26, performed the sexy routine to Tango in the Night by Fleetwood Mac alongside pro dancer Katya, 32.
But the conclusion of the routine left watchers wondering if Adam ‘leant in’ for a kiss with the Russian beauty, with one remarking: ‘3 words: get a room’, once again fuelling rumours of the dreaded Strictly curse.

As the dance came to an end, Adam dipped Katya back and leaned in with his lips close to hers, but the sportsman appeared to lean in closer once again as they stood up before pulling away, leaving viewers believing he initially intended to kiss his partner.
Taking to Twitter, fans were quick to comment on the highly-charged moment, with many convinced the couple came close to locking lips before remembering they were on live TV.

The Welsh beauty, 23, who is mother to the couple’s one-year-old son George, shared a sizzling selfie of herself showing off her toned midriff in a cropped red T-shirt.
Captioning her show-stopping post, she simply penned: ‘not worried’, though there is no indication she was referencing Adam and Katya.
Katya has been embroiled in Strictly curse drama in the past as the then-married dancer caused controversy in 2018 when she and dance partner Seann Walsh were photographed kissing.

Meanwhile, commenting on the performance afterwards, Anton Du Beke gushed: ‘That was the most impressive sequence of lifts I’ve ever seen, ever!’ while Shirley enthused that it was a ‘real comeback from last week’, noting they did their lifts ‘immaculately’.
And despite Craig Revel Horwood commenting that it was ‘a little bit plonky’, he also added that the ‘theatrical element is right up my ally!’
Elsewhere on the show, Dragon’s Den star Sara Davies topped the leaderboard for the second time following her sizzling Tango with professional partner Aljaž Škorjanec.

The TV personality, 37, left the judges very impressed with her and Aljaž’s Tango to Por Una Cabeza by Carlos Gardel, with Sara looking ravishing in a purple gown.
Gushing over the choreography, Craig said to the Aljaž: ‘I can understand why Janette [Manrara] married you!’ adding that he couldn’t criticise the performance.
Elsewhere, things became tense between the judges as Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse snapped at Craig Revel Horwood over his critique of Tilly Ramsay’s dance.

Despite Tilly giving it her all, her performance didn’t meet Craig’s standards as he felt that she didn’t put enough effort into the dance.
And after Craig gave the dance a tongue-lashing, branding it ‘half an investment’, Motsi hit back questioning if they were watching the same thing, while Shirley fumed: ‘I have no idea what you’re looking at!’
