The outing comes days after he revealed he was rushed to A&E while training for the show after running into a glass door.

Dan took to Instagram on Friday sharing a masked-up selfie from the hospital, as he told fans he’d been left feeling ‘a little wobbly’ in the wake of his injury.

‘Bit of head-based drama today! After whacking my noggin on the big glass window yesterday I got sent to A&E today because I was feeling a little wobbly.

‘A lovely nurse at Barnet Hospital called Karina checked my vitals and 6ft 9 Consultant Erik Witt gave me a CT scan to check for a bleed on the brain. Thankfully… all ok.

‘I’ve got to rest for a couple of days – so I’ll be a bit behind – but ready to dig in again next week,’ he explained.

Dan also took to his Instagram stories to share the mishap with his fans and said: ‘Things I learned yesterday… Don’t run into glass doors or get a big lump on your head.’

Dan recently revealed that his three children, who he shares with wife Sarah, ‘really wanted’ to see him take part, added he has already been warned to avoid introducing any of his ‘dad dancing’ into his Strictly routines.

Speaking to MailOnline ahead of the series launch, Dan said: ‘I nearly gave the game away, we all shared a YouTube account at home and the kids were looking up something and the last thing they saw was ”how to Charleston for beginnings” and then they said ”dad is there something you want to tell us?”’
