Strictly’s Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola leave rehearsals grinning cheek to cheek after cosy practice session – amid claims pair are ‘faking romance for publicity’

Ellie Leach and her professional partner Vito Coppola stepped out of Strictly’s London rehearsal studios grinning cheek to cheek on Thursday.

The dancing duo were seen getting close and cosy as they practised for this week’s show theme – Musicals.

The pair have been hard at work ahead of performing their quickstep to Beauty and the Beast this Saturday.

Coronation Street star Ellie, 22, donned bright lilac leggings and a matching sports top, which she covered with a black jumper.

She dressed to the weather and finished her sporty look with a black furry biker coat and white New Balance trainers.

Ellie was clutching a clear bag containing a brown wicker basket, nude dancing shoes and a blue and red dress.

Vito, 31, was spotted in professional dancing shoes and a pair of tailored grey trousers.

He trailed behind his celebrity dancing partner, sporting a long khaki coat with leather sleeves and a brown leather bag.

The twinkled-toed stars were seen twirling around the studios as Vito held Ellie close as they practised their upcoming performance.

It came after the pair were accused of ‘faking’ their romance to gain popularity on the BBC show.

Talks of romance rumours have surrounded the couple for weeks.

Yet despite all the moments of PDA and the professional dancer calling the actress his ‘diamond’, Ellie and Vito have not publicly confirmed their romance.

Reports are now claiming the couple are in fact, not dating and are faking a romance to gain popularity on the competition.

According to The Sun, a source revealed that their close relationship is just a ‘showmance’ and has no truth behind it.

They said: ‘Vito is an experienced pro and knows what he’s doing. He and Ellie had an instant friendship and a great connection, but it definitely wasn’t sexual.’

The source went on to suggest that once Vito realised the attention the couple’s intimate connection was receiving from the public, the pair decided to run with it.

They continued: ‘Vito especially was keen to let people jump to their own conclusions.

‘By letting people think they’re together, the hope is they’ll further endear themselves to the nation.’
