Strictly’s Nadiya Bychkova looks forward to reuniting with daughter Mila after the show’s tour

Nadiya Bychkova has said she ‘can’t wait’ to be reunited with her five-year-old daughter in a couple of weeks.

The Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer, 32, recently split from from fiancé Matija Škarabot, with whom she co-parents little Mila, five. 

And while she takes a spin on the ballroom each night during the BBC show’s UK tour, it’s believed that Slovenian footballer Matija has been looking after their daughter. 

On Sunday, the Ukrainian-Slovenian dancer shared a candid mother-and-daughter throwback from the festive period, accompanied by a heartfelt caption.

‘I can’t wait for you to join me in the UK my little princess [sic] in couple of weeks. [heart].

‘And I am so grateful for FaceTime so I can speak to Mila every day during the tour. It’s the highlight of my day. I told her all about Manchester today. Final show here tonight. I hope you enjoy it if you’re coming. [sic] #WorkingMum,’ she wrote to her 133,000 Instagram followers.

Nadiya and fellow Strictly dancer Kai Widdrington, 26, recently confirmed their new romance and are reportedly planning a trip to the Canary Islands for Valentine’s Day.  

On their upcoming Valentine’s Day trip, a source close to Nadiya told The Sun: ‘The tour finishes on February 13 so they’ll be just in time. They’re keen to have some time together alone.’

It comes after the pair appeared to finally confirm their romance as they were spotted kissing in a hotel bar on Thursday.

The dancing professionals had been at the centre of romance rumours for weeks as they’ve been reported to have grown close in the wake of Nadiya’s split from fiancé Matija.

And Nadiya certainly seems to have moved on as she locked lips with fellow dancer Kai in what appeared to be the lobby of Newcastle’s Malmaison hotel.  

The Sun reports that the couple shared their first kiss at the end of week one on the main Strictly show – despite strong Covid restrictions in place at the time.

A second source confirmed that despite Nadiya’s close friendship with her celebrity  partner Dan Walker and rumours Kai was dating AJ Odudu, Nadiya has been ‘single a while’ and Kai was ‘never dating AJ’ – adding that romance struck when they were both ‘free agents’. 

They added that the relationship is ‘early days’ but the couple are ‘happy’.
