He’s rumoured to win The Bachelorette and fall in love with Sophie Monk.
And on the reality dating show on Wednesday, millionaire pub owner Stu Laundy made his long-awaited debut.
The 44-year-old couldn’t believe that Sophie remembered that she’s met him before off the show, where she admitted she ‘stood him up.’

‘I’ve bumped into you before,’ Sophie admitted to Stu, as he made his way out of a helicopter with expensive champagne.
‘I can’t believe you remember! I was wondering whether you’d remember,’ Stu said.
The pair recalled their first meeting, where he said she needed ‘transport on the harbour’ and he ‘came like a knight in shining armour’ and got her friends, but not her.

The pair then laughed about the moment, and Sophie was shocked that he made the effort to go on the show to try and win her over.
‘The fact that Stu’s gone to all that effort to make his way on The Bachelorette when I’ve already stood him up, he really wants me,’ Sophie said.
She added: ‘I think. And I hope.’
Stu – a father of four daughters – said he’s been separated for four years and has been on the dating scene to no avail.

But he admitted that when seeing Sophie, there was a strong connection there.
‘She really is beautiful,’ Stu said.
‘There was a definite spark. I think I called it “lightning strike”. I haven’t had a lightning strike for a long time.’
On the evening, Stu was one of four intruders, making the other contestants feel intimidated.

Meanwhile at the cocktail party, Sophie sat next to Stu and the pair accidentally kissed.
‘Sorry. I accidentally kissed you on the lips,’ Sophie said.
