The Catholic day and boarding school was founded in 1880 and has become one of Sydney’s most distinguished schools for men.

Former prime minister Tony Abbott, former deputy prime minister Barnaby Joyce and 2GB radio host Ben Fordham all attended the institution.

The positive COVID-19 infection comes as New South Wales prepares for students at public school across the state to return to school full-time on Monday.
