Student missing on school trip with his rugby team in Bermuda

A 19-year-old student has gone missing in Bermuda while on a school trip with his college rugby team. 

Mark Dombroski is a freshman at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

He was visiting Hamilton, Bermuda, with his team for a rugby tour when he went missing early Sunday morning from a popular bar on the island. 

Dombroski’s parents are on the island helping with the search and his two brothers are supposed to fly in Monday to assist, police say.

The 19-year-old is described as 6-foot tall white male who has blonde hair. 

He was last seen wearing khaki pants, a green T-shirt and black shoes at The Dog House, a bar in Hamilton, Bermuda. 

Dombroski was supposed to leave the island with his rugby team later on Sunday to head back to the United States. 

His team is rewarding $1,000 to anyone who has information about the student’s whereabouts.

Police on the island have also circulated flyers across the island to help them locate this missing student.

St. Joseph’s University released the following statement: ‘Saint Joseph’s University was notified yesterday that freshman student Mark Dombroski, a member of SJU’s men’s rugby club, was reported missing in Hamilton, Bermuda, where the team was on a rugby tour.

‘He was last seen at approximately 12am Sunday morning local time. Bermuda Police Services are conducting a search and request anyone with information to contact them. 

‘Saint Joseph’s University is in touch with Mark’s family and Bermuda authorities and continues to pray for his safe return. Updates to the search will be shared as they become available.’ 

Police confirmed on Monday morning that the teen is still missing and was last seen more than 24 hours prior.

They are asking anyone with information to contact the police at 295-0011.
