Studio 10 newsreader Natasha Exelby shares intimate details about a ‘horrendous’ recent first date – as she jokes about needing ‘another Pfizer shot’ after the guy went in for an unwelcome ‘open mouth’ kiss

Natasha Exelby recalled a ‘horrendous’ first date she went on recently during Friday’s episode of Studio 10.

The 33-year-old newsreader revealed she had ‘met up with a gentleman who I had met on Bumble’.

‘We went for a walk, we had a chat, and I decided that he was pretty underwhelming but a nice enough guy,’ she recounted.

‘So then when we went to say goodbye, I thought, I’m never going to see you again, but most of this has been wearing a mask, so I’m just going to pull my mask down to say, smiling, “Good luck in life.”‘

But Natasha said she was horrified when the man misread the situation and ‘went in for the kiss’, despite it being ‘not COVID-safe’.

She revealed it got even more uncomfortable when he ‘did the whole Notebook cupping of the face thing’.

A famous scene from the 2004 movie The Notebook sees Rachel McAdams cup Ryan Gosling’s face as they share a passionate onscreen kiss in the rain.

Even Studio 10 host Sarah Harris agreed that cupping the face is a ‘very intimate move’, particularly on a first date.

Desperate to get out of there, Natasha said she told the man: ‘Good luck in life! I need to go now. Good luck in life.’

'You shouldn't do that! There's no kissing on a first date, and if there is, it's a peck at the most,' she continued

‘None of that open mouth business. I think I needed to get another Pfizer shot after that.’

Natasha had been lamenting the difficulty of dating during the pandemic, complaining that ‘all you can do is basically go for a walk wearing a mask’.
