Golf influencer Hailey Ostrom has urged America to ‘get a grip’ after accusing devastated Kamala Harris supporters of ‘acting like this is the end of the world’.
Harris suffered a crushing defeat to Donald Trump in Tuesday night’s presidential election, with the latter still on course to sweep up all seven key swing states as votes continue to come in.
It marks one of the most astonishing political comebacks of all time from Trump, whose controversial first term ended in disgrace four years ago when thousands of his loyal followers stormed the Capitol. The 78-year-old was also facing 34 felony counts prior to his re-election.
As a result, a large portion of the country has been left distraught by his return to office, with Harris voters now worried for their future.
Yet Ostrom is baffled by the dramatic reaction to Trump’s victory, claiming his first term at the White House was not as bad as people are suggestiong.

Donald Trump’s resounding victory in the election has left several Americans distraught
Ostrom, who has 935,000 Instagram followers, insists Trump’s win is not ‘the end of the world’
The professional golfer, who has 935,000 followers on Instagram, said in a video message on the platform on Wednesday: ‘Waking up this morning, I couldn’t believe how many people are tripping. So I’m just here to tell you, get a grip, life is going on… Okay?!
‘We have already had four years of Trump, and we all survived. So whether you like him or not, why is everybody acting like this is the end of the world?
‘We didn’t have a world war when he was president the first time, we didn’t have a nuclear attack. The aliens didn’t come attack us. Get a grip.
‘It’s not that serious. You’re fine. You’re gonna be fine. People are crying over this and I’m just like… is this our biggest issue in America? God damn we are privileged.’
Ostrom hinted that she voted for Trump in Tuesday’s election before embarking on her rant about the reaction to his victory.
‘I’m not saying this to be rude or mean either,’ she continued. ‘I’m not making fun of those people who are crying. But if you are someone who voted for Kamala and you just lost a selection and you are so upset… just get a grasp oN reality for a second.
‘Turn off the news and ask yourself: the four years that Trump was already president, was your life that much different than it is now? Was it that much more negative than it is now? What was the worst thing that happened to you when he was president, and was that a direct effect of him being president?
‘I think most of you will probably say life was pretty much the same and it was pretty normal.’
