A stunning March Madness fan gained plenty of admirers Sunday night after holding up a hilarious sign about Paige Bueckers ‘cooking’ her on the court in high school.

The female spectator was captured holding up the sign prior to Bueckers and UConn’s win over South Carolina in the women’s championship game, which ended the Huskies’ nine-year title drought.

Next to a photo of her on the court with Paige in high school, she wrote on it: ‘I guarded Paige in HS and she cooked me!’

A video that shows her holding up the sign at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, has since gone viral on social media, with college basketball fans left in awe.

One commented on X: ‘oh my god, shes an angel…IG please?’

‘What a smile,’ said another.

A third joked: ‘the only thing stopping this from being the most cringe thing ever is that she’s cute’.

While another simply concluded: ‘That smile just healed my soul.’

Bueckers helped UConn end its championship drought in a 82-59 victory over South Carolina on Sunday.

In what was only the storied program’s second title game appearance since 2016, the Huskies prevented Dawn Staley’s group from winning their third title in four years.

Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong both led the way with 24 points, while Bueckers – expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in this month’s WNBA Draft – also had 17 points and six rebounds.

The trio checked out of the game with roughly 90 seconds remaining as the crowd in Tampa gave them a massive ovation and Paige shared a hug with her coach Geno Auriemma.

‘I love her, that’s all I can say,’ he said on ESPN when asked about the moment.

This championship drought – nine years – was the longest for Auriemma and his Huskies since the team won its first championship in 1995 led by Rebecca Lobo.
