Sunrise fans call for ‘B Team’ filling in over the holidays to replace usual hosts Matt Shirvington and Natalie Barr: ‘Should be on permanently’

Sunrise has their summer crew in place over the holidays. 

And the group, affectionately called the ‘B Team,’ has delighted fans of the show, with some calling for them to permanently replace the usual hosts. 

Sports presenter Mark Beretta, newsreader Edwina Bartholomew Weekend Sunrise star Sally Bowrey and reporter Katie Brown have stepped in for the summer. 

Usual hosts Natalie Barr and Matt Shirvington are taking a well deserved break and enjoying their Christmas holidays. 

Edwina posted a photo of the summer crew to her Instagram this week and was swamped with positive comments.

She wrote in her caption: ‘Brown, Beretta, Bartholomew and Bowrey at your service for this Boxing Day week’. 

‘You make a great team…. so natural and a pleasure to watch’ replied one fan. 

Another said: ‘You guys are doing a great job loving watching as I do all year, there is a great lot of wonderful people involved with Sunrise’.
