James Tobin got down on one knee and proposed to his mystery girlfriend Farrah over the weekend.
It came as a shock as the Weekend Sunrise weather presenter, 43, has never gone public with his relationship, which has been going on for at least a few years.
Sharing a gushing tribute to his mystery fiancée on Monday, the television star said the lovebirds have been in a long-distance relationship for ‘the last couple of years’.
‘A bit of news… we’re getting married,’ James began beside a picture of him and Farrah as she flashed a huge engagement ring.
‘A lot of my life is lived out on TV, but I’ve also kept some things private because, well, not everything needs to be out there.’

He continued: ‘I’m thrilled to tell you I asked Farrah to marry me and she said “yes”. For those who don’t know Farrah she’s a ray of sunshine in this world.
‘She’s brilliant and beautiful, funny and clever, a kind heart who saves lives and runs ultra marathons in her spare time.
‘The last couple of years of our relationship have been long distance while Farrah has been in Perth completing a fellowship in interventional cardiology and I couldn’t be prouder of her.’

James went on to say Farrah is soon to complete her studies in Perth and is ready to move to Sydney to ‘start the next chapter’ of her life with him.
Dubbing himself the ‘happiest man alive’, James’ Instagram was flooded with well-wishes from all his famous friends who appeared to know Farrah very well.
Farmer Wants a Wife host and former Sunrise star Sam Armytage led the wave of love, writing: ‘Dear JT & Farrah – this is the most wonderful news. Congratulations. You are such a fab couple and I look forward to many happy times ahead. Love from us both.’
