Sunrise co-host Natalie Barr has expressed her concerns over the ramifications of Omid Scobie’s royal tell-all.
Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival contains many salacious allegations about the royals, including new information about the racism row over Prince Archie of Sussex’s skin colour.
During an interview with royal writer and podcaster Russell Myers on Tuesday, Barr admitted that she was afraid the book will destroy a potential reconciliation between Prince Harry and King Charles III.
‘Wasn’t it just about a week ago that we heard that Harry was maybe trying to get in contact with his father again?’ she asked.
‘Now this book is gonna ruin everything, isn’t it?’ she added, visibly concerned.
The racism row was sparked after Meghan Markle alleged in a 2021 TV special that an unnamed member of the Royal Family spoke about ‘how dark his (Archie’s) skin might be when he’s born’.
But it is now being claimed in Mr Scobie’s Endgame that a second member of the extended Royal Household – who may not be a member of the Royal Family itself – also made similar comments.
The two people are not named in Endgame, which is subtitled ‘Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival’.
But Mr Scobie claimed this week that letters between King Charles III and Meghan reveal the names of two people who allegedly commented on Archie’s skin colour.

The royal author said he could not reveal the identities of the two people for fear of legal reprisals in the UK.
But he said letters were exchanged between Charles and Meghan following the allegation in the Sussexes’ interview with Oprah Winfrey.
In an interview with ABC’s Good Morning America broadcast this week, Mr Scobie was asked whether he knew who made the comments about Archie’s skin colour.
He said: ‘I do know who made the comments about Archie’s skin colour. The names were mentioned in letters between Meghan and Charles that were exchanged some time after the Oprah interview.

‘We know from sources that Charles was horrified that that’s how Meghan felt. Those conversations were, and that he wanted to, sort of as a representative for the family, have that conversation with her.
‘And it is why I personally think they have been able to move forward with some kind of line of communication afterwards. Though they may not see eye to eye on it.’
Mr Scobie’s claims threaten to reignite the ‘royal racist’ row that came about after Harry and Meghan’s interview.
