Sunshine Coast alleged torture house in Tewantin is trashed by vigilantes as teen speaks

A teenager who was allegedly tortured by three girls claimed she had a ‘gut feeling’ something bad was going to happen when she was invited over as footage emerges of vigilantes appearing to trash the home where she was held.

The 13-year-old girl, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was allegedly tied up, burnt, stabbed and stomped on at a home in Tewantin, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, on March 11.

Three girls – aged 14, 13 and 12, charged over the incident two days later with the trio to front Maroochydore Children’s Court.

The alleged victim broke her silence alleging the girls had threatened to kill her baby brother if she told anyone about the incident. 

Her comments come as vigilantes appear to have taken matters into their own hands with videos showing one of the alleged attacker’s house being trashed. 

The 13-year-old told A Current Affair that she had been invited to their house for a party but had her suspicions something was off. 

‘I had a feeling in my stomach, like a gut feeling that I shouldn’t go, but I just ignored it because I thought some of my close friends were going to be there,’ she said.

She alleged one of the girls threatened to kill her ‘multiple times’ when she arrived at the house.

The teenage girl allegedly had bottles broken over her face, and knives thrown at her during the five-hour-long ordeal.

She alleged the teenage girls threatened to kill her daughter’s three-year-old brother if she told anyone about what had happened to her.

The mother said she was left horrified at the sight of the injuries on her daughter prompting her to take the 13-year-old to hospital.

She claimed the alleged attackers insisted on going with her daughter.  

The 13-year-old girl spent a week in hospital recovering from her injuries. 

Her interview comes as vigilante groups appear to have taken matters into their own hands, posting videos of themselves inside the home where the alleged torture occurred.

Several videos have circulated on TikTok showing the house of one of the alleged attackers being trashed by outraged people.

In one video a group of masked teenagers can be seen turning over a bed in one of the rooms while their accomplice jumps around on it.

Another video showed a coffee table overturned, ornaments shattered on the floor and glass windows broken in. 

A third video showed a different person kicking in the front door of the house while their friends laughed and cheered them on. 

Online supporters have published an address for the eldest girl with threats to firebomb the house, throw bricks through its windows and attack the accused teen. 

On Thursday, Queensland Police said they had now launched a probe into the threats and warned would-be vigilantes to stand down in a statement to Daily Mail Australia.

‘People who do attempt to take matters into their own hands can very well have any weapon turned on themselves and could face harm,’ said a spokesman.

‘In some cases, they could themselves face legal recourse dependent on their actions.’

Multiple social media accounts in the name of the alleged ringleader have been bombarded with sinister threats.

‘Let’s go – only a one-hour drive,’ posted one on a post revealing the alleged ringleader’s home address. 

‘Me and the tribe about to rock up on her doorstep.’

Another posted ominously: ‘No longer a house, just a pile of ashes.’
