Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp ‘available for shock trade’ amid links to Chiefs and 49ers

The Los Angeles Rams have reportedly been contacting teams about trading former Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp.

The wide receiver, who starred as Los Angeles beat the Bengals to win Super Bowl LVI, has been linked with both the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

According to the Athletic, the Rams are open to paying some of Kupp’s salary for 2024 and are seeking a second-round draft pick in return.

The receiver has not played since he sprained his ankle in Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals but returned to practice last week.

The 31-year-old has been with Los Angeles since 2017, when he was selected 69th overall in the third round of the NFL draft.

But Kupp has featured in only 23 of the Rams’ 39 games since the 2021 season, when he won the receiver’s triple crown.

He led the NFL in catches, receiving yards and touchdown catches. He then starred in the postseason, winning the MVP award in the Rams’ victory over Cincinnati.
