Supergirl, Chewbacca and Darth Vader are among fans at Manchester’s comic con 

Thousands of comic book fans have transformed themselves into their favourite superheroes for the Cosplayer Comic Con in Manchester this weekend.  

The event at Manchester Central on Saturday and Sunday is expected to be attended by 40,000 people across the weekend and gives those attending the chance to meet the stars of Hollywood blockbusters and the creators of comics and animations.

Fans have been dressing up as weird and wonderful characters ranging from Mexican Deadpools, Power Rangers and Star Wars characters.

Visitors were able to meet stars such as  Benedict Wong from Doctor Strange and Avengers Infinity War, Khary Payton and Cooper Andrews from the Walking Dead as well as Christopher Judge from Stargate. 

Voiceover artists, publishers and illustrators are also attending the event. 

The event held at Manchester Central on Saturday and Sunday, is expected to be attended by 40,000 people.
