Surf’s up! Leighton Meester shows off her fit physique in a black wetsuit

They found a new passion for surfing during the pandemic.

And Leighton Meester showed off her fit physique as she enjoyed another session in the sea on Tuesday alongside her shirtless husband Adam Brody.

The former Gossip Girl star, 36, slipped into a tight black wetsuit for the day out and cut a sporty figure as she balanced on her board. 

She completed her look with a floppy blue hat as she enjoyed the session and had a look of concentration on her face. 

Leighton looked like she was having a great time out at sea as she flashed a huge smile while down low on the board as the wave took her forward.  

Meanwhile Adam, 42, was showing off his hunky torso as he climbed out of the sea after the surfing session and rolled down his wetsuit to his waist.

The couple – who have six-year-old daughter Arlo and a one-year-old son together – has found surfing as a great way to release stress over the last few years amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Asked how he gets back on course for the rest of the week when he has a bad Monday, he told WSJ. magazine last year: ‘Ideally attack the problem, but it just depends on what the problem is. 

‘That said, a big part of our quarantine life is that my wife and I have been surfing our brains out.’

He added: ‘My wife will come down with our son half an hour, 45 minutes after I’m up and join the party and we will check the surf on our phones. I’ve been off and on a lifetime surfer. My wife’s relatively new to it but is very dedicated. She is going surfing right now.’ 

Brody and Meester tied the knot in February of 2014 after meeting on the set of the 2011 film The Oranges.

The OC star told PEOPLE in October 2020 that becoming a dad for the second time has been ‘pretty magical.’

‘It’s such a crazy time for everyone and we’re so, so, so fortunate that we have some of the security we do and have the flexibility with our jobs we do,’ he said. ‘We talk about it all the time and we’re just ridiculously fortunate and lucky.’

So happy together: Brody and Meester tied the knot in February of 2014 after meeting on the set of the 2011 film The Oranges; seen in 2019
