Susanna Reid was left cringing on Tuesday’s episode of Good Morning Britain when bosses aired a throwback to her child star past when she was aged just 12.

As Line of Duty star Adrian Dunbar appeared on the breakfast show, the duo enjoyed something of a reunion as they recalled their joint appearance on 1984 crime-drama The Price, in which her character was carried by the youthful actor.

The TV host, 48, took to Instagram after the show to recreate the shot alongside her one-time co-star as he lifted her up while she added the caption: ‘He can still lift me! Adrian Dunbar recreating the moment he kidnapped me in The Price (1984)’.

Susanna appeared on the show alongside her one-time co-star as they recalled their past role before posing up a storm and recreating the kidnap moment.

Her reunion with Adrian comes two years after Susanna was reunited with her on-screen mother from The Price Dame Harriet Walter.

Again looking back at clips of her character Clare driving with her mum Frances, Susanna revealed she was feeling ’emotional’.

She said: ‘Can I take you back to that time in the early 1980s when you and I worked together? It makes me quite emotional talking about it because you were my mum.’

Millions of fans are desperate for Sunday night’s Line Of Duty series five finale to finally reveal the identity of super villain ‘H’. And Piers did his best to get the answers out of Adrian when the actor appeared on GMB.

Viewers saw Adrian’s character Ted Hastings arrested for conspiracy to murder undercover copper John Corbett during the penultimate episode of the series, with the evidence against him stacking up.

Line Of Duty super fan Piers didn’t waste any time when it came to the big question on GMB, kicking off the live interview by asking Adrian: ‘Are you H?’

The pro wasn’t giving anything away though, remaining silent for a moment before calmly telling Piers and his co-host Susanna Reid: ‘I can’t tell you.’

‘We’ve got this big finale, a lot of interrogation, everyone is locked in. We’re doing incredible numbers. It seems to have kicked off to 8 million,’ the actor added.

When Piers asked if he has ‘annoying’ fans come up to him and beg for answers, Adrian quipped: ‘They’re not quite as annoying as you!’

‘The public are great, they come up and go “We love the show don’t tell us the ending.” Everyone loves the twists and turns.’

Fans were loving the interrogation from Piers, with one tweeting: ‘Adrian Dunbar held up well to that interogation from Morgan. Even if he may be playing a “Bent coppa” as Morgan’s comically bad impression would suggest,’ one fan wrote.
