He caused quite a stir on Good Morning Britain on Monday, when he cracked a joke about Prince Harry’s sex life with his girlfriend Meghan Markle.
And Piers Morgan was at it again on Tuesday morning on GMB, when he revealed the Suits actress was an ‘old pal’ who he had shared a dirty martini with at his local pub.
The 52-year-old TV personality bared all about his ’90 minute’ bonding session with the stunning American actress to his amused co-host Susanna Reid and Charlotte Hawkins.
Going way back: Piers Morgan, 52, revealed on Good Morning Britain that Meghan Markle was an ‘old pal’ who he had shared a dirty martini with at his local pub last year
‘Meghan is and old mate of mine’: The TV personality bared all about his ’90 minute’ bonding session with the stunning American actress
The outspoken broadcaster revealed: ‘We had 90 minutes in my local pub over a dirty martini and a pint of hand pumped Harvey’s.’
He continued detailing his relationship with the star: ‘Meghan is and old mate of mine. She’s getting married to Harry or she’s not. Who cares?’
Clearly not convinced with his story, Susanna asked: ‘How did going out with her once become “old mates”?’
‘We had 90 minutes in my local pub over a dirty martini and a pint of hand pumped Harvey’s,’ he spoke of the meeting in June of last year.
‘How did going out with her once become “old mates”?’ Piers’ amused co-host Susanna Reid and Charlotte Hawkins questioned him as he made the surprising admission
‘I’ll be milking it if she becomes our princess!’ Piers expanded on the potential Meghan could soon be engaged to Prince Harry
And expanding on the potential she could soon be engaged to Prince Harry, Piers revealed: ‘Trust me I’ll be milking that 90 minutes if she becomes our princess for the rest of my days.’
MailOnline has contacted representatives for further comment.
Keen on continuing the conversation, Piers branded the royal couple’s interactions with each other ‘normal’ while perusing footage of them holding hands at the Invictus Games, which are currently taking place in Toronto.
Piers also informed his co-hosts that he is able to tell a couple’s longevity by reading their body language, a baffled Susanna responded: ‘You need therapy!’
As Piers viewed Harry and Meghan making their first public appearance together as a couple when they watched wheelchair tennis, he then went on to say that couples who put on overt public displays of affection are almost always on the rocks.
He explained: ‘When a couple get really tactile, that’s when they’re going to split up. When you go out to dinner with a couple and they’re all over each other, really overdoing it, that’s when you know [it’s over].’
After playfully mocking her co-host and telling him that he ‘needs therapy’, she added: ‘I think you are misinterpreting people’s reactions to you.’
Observant: As he sat with Susanna and Charlotte Hawkins, left, Piers said that he could tell when couples are in trouble by how much affection they show each other in public
Awks! The previous morning, Piers shocked co-stars Susanna and Charlotte with a playful joke about Prince Harry’s sex life with Meghan
Piers’ comments came a day after he shocked his co-hosts by questioning why a couple ‘who have sex’ were sat 50 metres apart from each other at the Invictus Games opening ceremony on Sunday night.
The famously private couple enjoyed their first official engagement over the weekend, appearing together at the Games – but sitting separately as royal protocol dictates that because they are not engaged, they cannot sit next to one another at official events – they sat four rows apart.
And pondering over their appearance, Piers quipped on live TV: ‘It’s common sense. It’s ridiculous. When have you ever been to a sporting event when you’re 50 metres from the person you’re having sex with?’
His comments left his co-stars dumbstruck, as they laughed awkwardly, chiding him over his crudeness.

Low key: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (pictured) enjoyed their first official engagement over the weekend, appearing together at the Invictus Games – but sitting separately, but next to Markus Anderson, who is thought to have set the couple up last July
Scolding him jokingly , Susannah hit back with: ‘How come we’ve got to 12 minutes passed 7.00 and you’re saying that on the television.’
But defiant Piers turned things around on the stunned brunette, branding her ‘ridiculous’ for not admitting that couples ‘get intimate’ in the bedroom.
‘They’ve done it apparently to avoid attention, all they’ve done is get ten times more attention,’ he concluded.

The famous couple were not seated together at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, but she was sat just a few feet away from the Queen’s grandson, who was accompanied by US First Lady Melania Trump.
Wearing a purple dress and a matching $690 Mackage leather jacket slung over her shoulders, Meghan was escorted by her close friend Markus Anderson who introduced her to Prince Harry last year.
Her low key presence marks the first time she has joined the Royal for an official event and will intensify speculation that an engagement announcement is imminent.
Turning heads: Wearing a purple dress and a matching $690 Mackage leather jacket slung over her shoulders, Meghan was escorted by her close friend Markus Anderson who introduced her to Prince Harry last year- while the Royal mingled with Melania Trump
Harry was seated a quarter of a stadium away, occupying a VIP box alongside Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, US First Lady Melania Trump and Ukraine’s President Poroshenko.
And it seems the couple were also keen to keep the limelight on the stars of the event- which honoured injured military personnel, with this year’s event featuring 550 competitors from 17 nations.
The distance – 18 seats and four rows – did nothing to dampen the actress’s excitement or pride.
What a wake-up call! Piers’ co-stars appeared unimpressed with his awkward joke first thing on Monday
Unimpressed: Scolding him jokingly , Susannah hit back with: ‘How come we’ve got to 12 minutes passed 7.00 and you’re saying that on the television.’
The stunning actress beamed as Harry gave an inspiring and humble speech on stage during which he told the 550 athletes gathered: ‘You are all winners. You are Invictus.’
Meanwhile Harry seemed unable to keep his eyes off his radiant girlfriend and was spotted glancing down towards her seat on a number of occasions.
