Susanna Reid sparks claims she’s REUNITED with ex Steve Parish with cosy dinner

Susanna Reid and her ex-boyfriend Steve Parish have sparked speculation they’re back together, after being spotted enjoying a cosy dinner in west London on Friday.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, 50, was seen dining at the swanky eatery Trinity before driving away in her car, a year after the couple reportedly called off their nine-month romance.

The pair’s outing also came just days after Susanna failed to reference her romance with Steve during an interview with the Crystal Palace chairman on Good Morning Britain, with many fans taking to Twitter to poke fun at the ‘awkward’ encounter.

Susanna wrapped up in a long black coat as she and Steve were pictured sitting down for an outdoor dinner, with the pair deep in conversation during their outing.

The breakfast TV star was then seen heading back to her car with her former beau before they drove off together, clearly still on friendly terms following their split last year.

Given the Covid pandemic, Susanna and Steve were seated outside for their dinner at the swanky eatery, which boasts a coveted Michelin star and an ever-changing seasonal menu.

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Susanna Reid and Steve Parish for comment.

Susanna and Steve’s outing comes after the pair kept things professional during his appearance on GMB last week, as the football boss offered his views on the controversial European Super League.

The former couple appeared to be on great terms following the end of their relationship, as they chatted happily during the segment.

Welcoming Steve onto the show, the mother-of-three, said: ‘We’re joined now by Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish, morning Steve.’

While Susanna was keen to hear Steve’s take on the topic in light of the fact all six English clubs who were slated to join the league have now drawn, viewers more interested in the dating history between the pair.

Another viewer speculated their could still be romance between the pair, and said: ‘#GMB bet Susanna did welcome ex Steve Paris on the programme her eyes say everything…’

During the interview, Steve said: ‘The fans really fought for the right to lose yesterday,’ he enthused.

‘They said that they don’t want victory without the jeopardy and the risk of losing, that it’s meaningless to them and they don’t want to be part of a gilded elite with no relegation and no promotion.

‘So absolutely the fans, the players, the managers that came out against it, all of them must deserve high praise.

Susanna first went public with Steve back in November 2018 when they were pictured at a Crystal Palace v Chelsea match.

A friend told The Sun at the time: ‘They have known each other for several years through their connections to Palace.’

They split just months later in April 2019 following a nine month relationship, as Susanna insisted they would remain good friends.

Piers highlighted the split at the time during a GMB appearance, and Susanna said: ‘Let’s not dwell. I’m fine, we’re fine, we were at the match on Saturday.

She added: ‘These things happen right, we remain friends. Very good friends.’

Then the pair were seen having dinner together last summer, suggesting the romance may be back on.

A source said at the time: ‘They looked totally into each other. If ever it was in doubt whether they were an item again, this shows they are.

Elsewhere on Wednesday’s programme, Susanna praised Adil Ray for ‘saving lives’ after he encouraged people of South Asian heritage to get the coronavirus vaccine.

She heaped praise on her co-host after he coordinated an online video that debunked false rumours about the vaccine.

After Adil was praised by name during the government’s press briefing on Tuesday, Susanna said: ‘We talk about superstars … yesterday at the government briefing, credit was paid to a particular television star.

‘The vaccination programme has been brilliant, but in certain communities it needed a particular push.

‘Dr Nikki Kanani was the GP who was at the government briefing yesterday and paid tribute to certain individuals.’

Susanna then introduced a video clip from the press briefing.

Dr Kanani said: ‘Since we set out our plan in February, uptake from all ethnic minority backgrounds has tripled.

‘The progress is a direct result of a combination of NHS teams that know and understand their communities; community and faith leaders who have worked really closely with us; practical considerations about Ramadan and other nuances.

‘And really strong vocal backing from high profile people such as Bake Off’s Nadiya Hussain, comedian Lenny Henry, and TV star Adil Ray. So I want to thank everyone involved in this effort. You’ve saved lives.’

Following the clip, Susanna, 50, said: ‘Well done you, by the way. I feel incredibly moved by the fact that you produced that and as a result you’ve saved lives.’

Adil remained modest in his response, saying it’ll take a collective effort to beat the virus. He said: ‘We’re all saving lives by taking the vaccine. Well done.

‘The Pakistani community, the Bangladesh community, many of the ethnic minority communities have stepped up – four times more, five times more likely to take the vaccine.’
