The moment a suspected pervert who thought he was meeting a 14-year-old boy for sex was arrested by police has been caught on camera.
Detectives from the Sex Crimes Squad arrested and charged a 34-year-old man at Petersham Railway Station in Sydney’s inner west at 10.30am on Thursday.
Dramatic footage of the arrest shows the man walking across the Petersham Train Station Bridge before he is confronted by officers and escorted away.

Following the arrest officers searched a nearby property and seized a number of items for forensic examination.
The man was taken to Marrickville Police Station and charged with use carriage service to procure persons under 16.
Police will allege in court the man believed he was speaking to a 14-year-old boy.
The man engaged in sexually-explicit conversations with the child and made arrangements to meet in person, police will allege.
He was refused bail to appear at Newtown Local Court on Thursday afternoon.
The investigation is ongoing.
