An alleged sexual predator in New York was nearly beaten to death on Sunday after the victim’s boyfriend walked in during the assault.
The unidentified suspect was rushed to a Brooklyn emergency room in critical condition following the incident.
The 54-year-old man found another man, 31, sexually assaulting his partner around 6.45pm inside his second-floor apartment in East Flatbush, according to the New York Daily News.
When police arrived at the scene of the incident, they found the suspect lying unconscious and rushed him to nearby Kings County Hospital (Pictured)
Police say that the older man used a wooden object, most likely a baseball bat or table leg, to stop the sexual assault.
Authorities added that the two men knew each other but the nature of their relationship remains unclear.
When police arrived at the scene of the incident, located at Camba Gardens on Albany Ave, they found the suspect lying unconscious with a serious head injury and rushed him to nearby Kings County Hospital.
Police placed the older man under arrest and escorted the girlfriend to a different medical facility for treatment. The incident is still under investigation.
