Britain has been blasted with snow in recent weeks and many have struggled to get around following the icy spell.

This includes one man who contended with a frozen pavement in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands.

The funny video shows a man trying to stand up on the slippery ground but appearing to look more like Bambi on ice.   

The man can be seen sliding down the road on all fours as an amused onlooker videos the stunt. 

However it all seems to be in good humour as the man can be heard laughing as he slides down the road. 

Extreme weather conditions are expected to continue into the new year with gusts of up to 80mph expected in Northern Ireland and southern Scotland.

Forecasters warned there is the potential for ‘injuries and danger to life from flying debris’ as Storm Dylan approaches.   

In the south, parts of England and Wales could be hit by torrential downpours with as much as 40mm expected to fall in just three hours this weekend, raising fears of flooding.

Heavy downpours are also predicted to blight much of south-east Wales, plus south western, central and southern parts of England across the weekend.

A yellow warning for heavy rain has been issued by the Met Office from 6pm today to 9am on tomorrow.

Up to 25mm is predicted as likely to fall, while up to 40mm could be seen in some spots. 

Highways England has issued a severe weather warning and urged people to plan their journeys, monitor weather reports and pack a snow kit of blankets, food, water and a shovel if they really need to travel.
