Swedish pole vault star Armand Duplantis wins Olympic gold with a new WORLD RECORD – as he celebrates by mimicking Turkish shooter who went viral

Swedish pole vaulter Armand Duplantis celebrated his victory at the Olympics by mimicking Turkish shooter Yusuf Dikec.

Dikec has gone viral for his seemingly casual attitude while shooting his way to a silver medal.

Duplantis, meanwhile, claimed gold and subsequently broke his own world record with an incredible 6.25m.

The 24-year-old’s world record is his ninth already in his career. 

Duplantis had secured victory by clearing six metres and then set an Olympic record with 6.10m. 

Dikec has taken the Paris Games by storm thanks to his seemingly casual attitude while shooting his way to a silver medal 

Duplantis managed to set the ninth world record of his career with an incredible 6.25m

Dikec has been compared to a hitman for his nonchalant technique.

Many of his competitors wear ear protectors and visors, but that isn’t the case for Dikec. 

It also emerged that Dikec has deployed a similar technique throughout his career.
