‘Madi has been an amazing support to me over the past couple of years and especially this year at the Commonwealth Games,’ he told SwimSwam.
Referring to her missing out on competing at the Commonwealth Games that year, he continued: ‘It was such a shame she wasn’t able to compete; however it’s motivated her moving forward and I know she’ll be back better than ever in the coming years.
‘Having her as a training partner and watching how she approaches the sport is very inspiring. Madi is one of the most professional athletes I know.’
