The family of a young model killed in a horror car crash in the early hours of Saturday morning have told of their heartbreak at knowing she was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Bree Keller was getting a lift home from a nightclub in Darling Harbour, Sydney, last weekend when the $200,000 Nissan supercar she was in crashed and caught fire.
The 22-year-old lingerie model and professional hairdresser was killed instantly along with brothers Jeff and Steve Nasr, while a fourth passenger Joseph Bagala survived.
Despite police still not being able to formally identify the burnt body of Ms Keller, her mother and step-father said in an interview with Channel Ten they were shocked by the ‘sliding doors’ moment which ultimately decided her life.

Ms Keller’s mother Tania said she was still coming to terms with the fact a ‘wrong decision’ had cost her daughter her life.
‘It was a sliding doors moment – get in the car, or not get in the car,’ she said.
‘Ultimately it was the wrong place, wrong time, wrong decision.’
Surrounded by their other children, friends and Ms Keller’s boyfriend Issac Treml, the heartbroken family remembered Ms Keller as ‘free spirited’ and ‘very attractive’.
But her stepfather Peter Francis confirmed they had met neither the brothers or Mr Bagala.
‘We have no idea how she came to get in that car. We don’t know any of the people in that car except Breeana,’ Mr Francis said.
‘She didn’t know them either, so we’re just at a loss – we can’t believe it.
‘It’s a tremendous loss to us. It’s just a waste, an absolute waste and a tragic mistake.’

It comes after Daily Mail Australia revealed the driver of the car was facing two apprehended violence orders (AVOs) protecting separate women when he died.
Police are still unsure which of the Nasr brothers was behind the wheel of the car but a relative revealed on the night of the crash Jeff drove into the city to pick up Steve.
Accompanied by his friend Joe Bagala, Jeff had jumped behind the wheel of the high-powered sports car to collect Steve and Steve’s friend Ms Keller.
‘Jeff went to pick up Steve in the city and he was hanging out with his mate Joe, and they were driving a mate’s car,’ the relative said.

Jeff Nasr appeared in Burwood Local Court last month after police applied for an AVO to protect a woman he knows.
He was back before the same magistrate just a fortnight ago when police sought another AVO, this time to protect another woman.
On the same day he faced charges of common assault and destroying or damaging property.
Jeffrey’s brother Steve pleaded guilty two years ago to possessing a prohibited drug. He was convicted, fined $800 and placed on a two year good behaviour bond.

The $200,000 Nissan GT-R R35 was purchased just six days before the fatal crash.
Investigations into the cause of the tragic crash continue.
Jeff Nasr was due to appear in Burwood Local Court in relation to one AVO in a hearing that was set down for three hours on November 13.
The charges of common and assault and destroying or damaging property were listed for the same day while the other AVO was adjourned until October 5.
