Sydney Darling Harbour car crash kills three

Three people have died and one man is seriously injured following a fiery high speed car crash in Sydney’s city centre.

Emergency services were called to Harbour Street, Sydney, just before 3am on Saturday following reports that a Nissan sedan had rolled and caught fire.

A 39-year-old man, who was among the passengers, was pulled out of the vehicle by police, before it became engulfed with flames.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital with lacerations and burns to his body where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police said the driver and two other passengers in the car, died at the scene.

Officers are still investigating the cause of the accident.

A report is being prepared for the coroner.
