If you would rather go on a doggy date than a Tinder date than one animal shelter’s call out might be just what your pet-loving heart needs.
Sydney Cats and Dogs Home (SCDH) are offering to pay one lucky person $500 to play with the pound’s animal inhabitants, including a new litter of ten-week old Kelpie X puppies.
And if that’s not tempting enough the charity pound has released a video of the pooches – namely one excitable dog named Taco – cuddling some human friends.

‘We have just had a litter of five adorable Kelpie X puppies arrive at our shelter after they were found abandoned in a bin. With these little guys and a huge influx of other new animals, we’re in urgent need for some extra help,’ SCDH said.
‘We’re looking for the ultimate animal lover to look after our furry friends for one day, helping out at the home in Carlton, Sydney. And, Airtasker are offering you $500 for the privilege.’
In terms of what you’ll be doing on that fateful day of September 25, the shelter said it’s mainly taking the pets for a stroll and taking photos for the website to help them get adopted into loving families.
Other than that they’re only looking for genuine love and affection for some of the 3,000 animals the shelter takes in each year.
