Sydney foodies say Misc. Parramatta gives famed Merivale institution Totti’s a run for it’s money with a decadent menu of burrata, pastas and seafood

Foodies are flocking to Sydney’s west to check out a little-known eatery many are saying is a dupe of one the city’s most popular restaurants Totti’s.

In fact some foodies claim the food is even better.

Misc. is in the Great Western Sydney suburb of Parramatta and treats diners to a gourmet menu of delicious Italian food to rival the famed Merivale institution.

Totti’s three locations in Bondi, Rozelle and George Street are the trendiest of casual hot spots for Sydneysides – and now those in the Western Suburbs can get a taste of the action.

Misc. has its own burrata, wood-fired bread, pastas and pizzas on offer many say rival the cult favourite.

The luxe eatery has been one of Paramatta’s most popular lunch spots however now it has opened for dinner as well with a brand new modern Mediterranean-style menu.

Food bloggers Kate and Alex, known as the Food Inbox, paid Misc. a visit and indulged on the $90 set menu with dishes including dips, olives, lamb shoulder, broccolini, cured meats and chips.

‘Set in the beautiful surrounds of Parramatta Park, this is definitely a spot out west for a cute dinner date or night our with the girls,’ they wrote in an Instagram post.

‘This set menu is VALUE guys! We were absolutely stuffed afterwards are you all know we’ve got empty pits for stomachs.’

Another guest called Misc. a ‘Totti’s dupe’ and said they serve the best burrata she’s ever had.

‘It was uniquely infused with lime-leaf oil and was perfect with the soft wood fired bread and salty prosciutto,’ she said.

Other menu highlights include the Sydney rock oysters, split, roasted prawns, village tomatoes and fried zucchini flowers.

The restaurant is housed inside a stunningly-restored shed with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams over the curved stone bars and 300-seater dining space
