Sydney lawyer Annie Pang makes six figures with Sencha Skin eyebrow lamination kits

Lawyer turns her passion for beauty into a SIX-FIGURE side hustle by selling DIY lamination kits that create ‘salon style’ eyebrows at home

  • An Aussie beauty brand is selling DIY kits that create ‘salon style’ eyebrows
  • Sencha Skin was launched by Sydney lawyer Annie Pang at the start of Covid
  • Her products are said to create the effect of professional lamination at home

Beauty lovers say an affordable DIY kit from an Australian beauty brand has given them the ‘best eyebrows’ of their lives.

Launched by Sydney lawyer Annie Pang, 30, after the pandemic broke out in early 2020, Sencha Skin products have been designed to create the fluffy, feathery brows associated with professional lamination from the comfort of your own home.

Described as a perm for your eyebrows, lamination treatments take about 45 minutes and will set you back anywhere from $90 to $180 depending on where you go, with the high-shine, ultra-defined effect lasting three to five weeks.

But with millions unable to visit salons due to ongoing lockdowns across New South Wales and Victoria, Ms Pang says her clever creation can be used to achieve the same result for longer, for a fraction of the cost.

The kits, which are vegan and cruelty-free, are usually $100 but they’re currently reduced to a reasonable $69.95 on the brand’s website.

Packed with a cleansing oil, a perm and setting formula, a nourishing keratin gel and a spoolie brush, the kits promise results that last up to eight weeks, with six to eight applications per box depending on how much product you use each time.

That’s a cost per use of just $8.75 – more than 10 times cheaper than the most affordable salon treatment.

And it seems shoppers are catching on.

‘We’ve been blown away by the growth,’ Ms Pang told Daily Mail Australia.

‘We should hit $500,000 to $700,000 in the next 12 months based on current projections.’

She still works full-time as a lawyer, devoting nights and weekends to her beloved side project which she hopes will become her ‘long-term game’.

‘I’ve had lamination done professionally and I got the exact same results at home for less $$ which was great,’ one woman wrote online.

Another added: ‘This is the only thing that makes my brows appear fuller without me piling about six different products into them each morning.’

While there are a number of home lamination kits on the market, Ms Pang believes hers are a cut above the rest thanks to a careful selection of chemicals that are strong on brows but gentle on skin.
