Lovestruck tourist pens desperate note in a bid to find beautiful ‘mystery man’ who ‘looks like Aquaman’ after meeting him on holiday

  • Woman pleads for help finding Aquaman
  • Met at a street library on holiday

A tourist has penned a note in the hopes her ‘Aquaman’ might see it, after a chance encounter at a street library left her head spinning.

Pina, who was in Sydney’s eastern suburbs on holiday, said she had an incredible moment with a man who reminded her of the super hero.

The Perth-based woman wrote a ‘message in a bottle’ style note and left it at the library where she met the man in the hopes he might have felt something too.

‘I met a lovely man at this beautiful spot on Thursday,’ the note read.

‘He reminded me of Aquaman, I wish I’d got his number,’ she continued.

She revealed she was so engrossed in conversation with the tall, long-haired, well dressed man that she didn’t even think to ask for his number.

‘If the reader of this note knows who he is or can pass it on I would love to connect with him again,’ she said.

She added her number to the bottom of the letter and placed it in the beachside box.

Within 24 hours a visitor to the street library, on the rocks in Maroubra, had posted the note online in the hopes of helping Pina find the man.

Hundreds of people supported her mission.

‘Surely someone must know her Aquaman. We need a part two,’ one woman said.

‘I can’t help but this is next level! I l love it. Nobody goes to this kind of effort anymore. I hope she find her Aquaman,’ said another .

While others poked fun at her efforts.

‘Plot twist: after perusing the books, he returned to the deep ocean,’ one laughed.

‘If the guy would have been into her, he would have asked for her number. Just saying,’ said one man.
