Footage shows one resident dropping everything and running to the man’s aid, but it was too late.

‘Heard a massive loud bang, just ran out straight away, seen the guy,’ one witness told 7 News.

Paramedics arrived soon after but were unable to revive the man.

‘There was no pulse, we all tried, tried to help him but there was nothing we could do,’ a bystander said.

The speed limit on the quiet street is 50 km/h but residents believe the man was doing more than double that.

They are now pleading with road users to consider the dangers of speeding.
