A gunman is on the run following a targeted shooting in Sydney Olympic Park.
The victim, a 29-year-old man, was shot in the arm several times when three men stormed into his apartment before fleeing the scene.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the victim, before he was taken to the hospital for treatment, and although seriously injured, he is expected to recover.
A burnt-out silver 4WD was found nearby in Lidcombe, and police are investigating whether it was used as the getaway vehicle.
Sydney has experienced dozens of tit-for-tat gangland shootings since 2020, driven by a war between rival crime organizations.
These public attacks included five targeted shootings in a single week in mid-July.
The violence had subsided following a series of arrests that investigators say helped dismantle one of the major gangs involved, but it has flared up again in recent months.
