Police are searching for a teenage thug who stole an $1100 pair of Kanye West-designed sneakers (pictured, wearing similar Yeezy 3 shoes) from an online seller in a Sydney park
Police have launched a manhunt for a knife-wielding teenager who stole an $1100 pair of Kanye West-designed sneakers from an online seller in a Sydney park.
The seller, 22, had arranged to meet up with a boy who was interested in buying a pair of high fashion Adidas Yeezy 750 triple black SD shoes he advertised online.
The pair met up at Johnson Park, Dulwich Hill, on Monday night and the boy asked the seller if he could try on the shoes before handing over the money.
After putting the shoes on, police allege he pulled a knife out of his backpack and threatened the seller – forcing him to leave the park without his shoes or payment.
Police have been told the teenage thug is of Aboriginal appearance, aged about 16 with a stocky build and standing just 170cm tall.

He was wearing a black hooded jumper and black tracksuit pants at the time of the alleged robbery.
It’s believed the same boy is behind a separate robbery that happened an hour earlier at nearby Arlington light rail station, which joins Johnson Park.
A man advertised the sale of a jacket worth $1,000 on the internet, and arranged to meet up with the prospective buyer in person.
The buyer, believed to be the same Aboriginal boy, ran away with the expensive jacket without handing over any cash.
The thefts were reported to police from Marrickville Local Area Command and an investigation is now underway.
Anyone with information about these incidents should contact police at Marrickville or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
