It shows Lebanese cucumbers cost her $7.99 per kilo- a price which she claims has recently doubled.
Currently Woolworths has Lebanese cucumbers advertised for $4.50 per kilogram.
Owner of the Petersham grocery Rebecca Arcella said the price of cucumbers at her store is dependent on fruit market prices.
‘If they go up at the markets, we put our price up,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.
She noted the price hike could have been due to recent hot weather.
‘It could be because of the weather, or if they are in short supply.’
