Sydney woman reveals the very grisly remains she discovered on the floor of her home office: ‘Call the cops’

A Sydney influencer made a grisly discovery on Monday when her dog brought ‘human remains’ into her office.

Karina Irby, 34, was filming an ‘unboxing’ video in her home office with friends when she heard one of her guests screaming ‘there’s teeth, there’s teeth’ from upstairs.

Catching the entire incident on video for Instagram, the body-positivity fitness vlogger found ‘human teeth’ on the floor of her house.

‘One of the dogs just had human teeth in their mouth… There’s dead set human teeth,’ Karina said as she filmed two decayed teeth on her stair landing.

As her friends began a chorus of panicked laughs, Karina got down on the ground to get a better look at the remains which appeared cemented together.

‘Wait, wait, I don’t know if this is teeth,’ she began.

Then she flipped them over with a piece of paper: ‘It’s f**king teeth. It’s teeth. I’m not joking. It’s teeth. I’m not trying to be funny.’

‘Do we need to call the cops or something?’ Karina asked, as one of her friends began to call another buddy named Ryan.

The women then discussed what they should do as they continued to inspect and flip the teeth over on a piece of paper without touching them.

Finally one of the women called the police to report the human remains.

‘We have to call PoliceLink because it sounds like we found human remains which could be connected to a crime,’ Karina’s friend said after she got off the phone with ‘detectives’.

PoliceLink receives and processes complaints in relation to the NSW Police Force, as well as allow people to make reports on non-urgent crime related matters.

The NSW Police website says not to touch any human remains if found, and advises people to take photos, note the location and call Crime Stoppers to make a report.

According to their web page: ‘NSW has over 371 Unidentified Bodies and Human Remains (UBHR), dating back to 1961.

‘In 2022, over 112 reports of possible human remains were made; 37 were confirmed human and 5 remain outstanding as unidentified.’
