Sydney women in fight for parking space become physical

A Sydney woman has been charged after a road rage incident over a car park turned violent on Monday.

Onlookers were left in disbelief following the exchange between the women on Northumberland Street in Liverpool around 11am.

The fight is believed to have erupted after the pair began arguing over the space, before the alleged attacker, 48, dragged the other woman from her car.

The woman, dressed in a blue Adidas jumper, has been accused of slapping the 38-year-old across the face and causing minor facial injuries. 

‘They were just going hard at it and abusing each other, which was a bit shocking,’ a bystander told 7 News.

Video shot by the shocked witnesses shows the pair wrestling each other and locking arms amid bursts of abuse.

‘You started on us you b****, stupid b***** you started on us,’ one woman is heard yelling, while the other adds ‘You’re gone, it’s assault b****’.

Traffic backed up behind the cars following the incident, with those nearby rushing to help the injured driver.

The 38-year-old woman waited to assist police officers with their enquiries, with the alleged attacker also returning and being questioned.

The 48-year-old woman has since been charged with common assault and is expected to appear in Liverpool Local Court on January 10.
