Sylvia Jeffreys skips the 2024 Logie Awards as she checks in for an international flight at Sydney Airport

Sylvia Jeffreys has decided to avoid all of the limelight, glitz and glamour of the 2024 Logie Awards.

The Today Show host, 38, swapped out the red carpet for the check-in terminal as she was seen at Sydney Airport, preparing to board an international flight on Friday.

As many of her colleagues were busy primping and preening themselves for TV’s night of nights, Sylvia took a more casual approach for her journey.

She wore a light brown sweater that was tucked into flare plain black pants.

Sylvia finished off her ensemble with a classic blue denim jacket and a pair of comfortable white sneakers.

She accessorised with a black hair scrunchie that was bunched around her wrist and a taupe coloured leather shoulder bag.

The TV presenter appeared to be heading off on a solo flight as her Sky News host husband Peter Stefanovic and children Henry and Oscar were nowhere to be seen.

Sylvia couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as she wheeled her suitcases through the airport.

She also appeared to share a joke with airport staff as she smiled broadly while at the check-in terminal.

The sighting comes after Sylvia recently revealed the secret to a perfect family holiday.

The Sydney-based mother-of-two shared her top recommendations for crafting the perfect family getaway based on her recent trip to the Gold Coast in May.

Writing for Nine Travel, the media personality explained how revisiting childhood locations allowed her children to create their own special memories while fostering a sense of tradition.

‘The 5 kilometre jog back to Surfers Paradise was powered by my excitement that my children were about to begin building their own core holidays memories in the place where I forged mine,’ she wrote.

‘Sometimes a big dose of the “familiar” is just what the doctor ordered,’ she explained.

Sylvia also emphasised the need to strike a balance between children’s enjoyment and parental relaxation.

‘Successful family holidays depend on a little quid pro quo,’ she admitted.

‘We all know the balance tends to tip heavily in favour of those most likely to tantrum, but us mums and dads have got to take the wins where we can get them.’
