T.I. ARRESTED and taken to jail in shock case of ‘mistaken identity’ at Atlanta airport

T.I. was arrested in a case of reported mistaken identity at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport on Sunday, August 4,

The rapper, 43, was placed in handcuffs after a warrant was allegedly issued for another man named Clifford Harris – which is T.I.’s real name – with the other Harris wanted in Baltimore, Baltimore County, Maryland, per TMZ.

Suspect Harris is wanted for alleged involvement in violent behavior toward a woman and stalking, possibly involving a gun.

T.I. was transported to Fulton County jail and the arrest triggered an automatic extradition hearing as the warrant was issued out of state,

T.I.’s attorney Steve Sadow told the publication he called the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, and had T.I. released within 2 hours of his arrest.

In January  a woman filed a lawsuit against T.I. and his wife Tiny Harris, accusing them of drugging and sexually assaulting her back in 2005.

The woman claimed she received a drink from Tiny at a club before ending up at a hotel room with the couple, where Tiny grinded her and T.I. penetrated her vaginally with his toe despite her telling him ‘no’, according to court documents obtained by DailyMail.com.

Tiny, 48, and T.I. denied the allegations in a statement provided to the outlet, and claimed they had been denying the accusations for the past three years. The allegations are similar to ones the couple faced in 2021 by a member of the military, however it is unknown if the new lawsuit is the same incident. Ultimately, no charges were brought against the couple as the incident had fallen outside of the 10-year statue of limitations.

‘On the heels of positivity, negativity always rears its ugly head. This plaintiff has been threatening to file this lawsuit for THREE years,’ the couple said in their statement to TMZ.

‘For THREE years, we have emphatically and categorically denied these allegations. For THREE years we have maintained our innocence and refused to pay these extortionate demands for things we didn’t do.

For THREE years, we’ve maintained the same position while the claims in this story have changed time and time again. Our position is clear… We are innocent of these fake claims, we will not be shaken down, and we look forward to our day in court.’
