Tad Starsiak PROPOSES to girlfriend Anna Spiars on series finale of HGTV’s Good Bones – but did she say ‘YES’?

Good Bones’ Tad Starsiak made the series finale of the long-running HGTV extra special.

After his sister Mina Starsiak Hawk and mother Karen E. Laine renovated a home for Tad, 33, and his girlfriend Anna Spiars, he led his lady love into their fancy new kitchen.

‘I think this is going to be your favorite spot, if you come over here,’ he said as he led her to their new kitchen island.

‘Baby, I love you with all my heart,’ he said as he got down on one knee. ‘And I don’t know what I did to deserve you, but I thank God for you every single day. You’re my absolute best friend and my dearest companion.’

‘Will you marry me?’ Tad said and Anna nodded her head as she was overcome with emotion.

Seemingly overwhelmed, Anna nods to signify a yes response, barely whispering, ‘yeah.’

As Tad and Anna hugged, Mina, Karen and other members of their family entered the room and congratulated them.

‘She is my person,’ Tad said in a confessional interview. ‘She is my best friend. She’s my dearest friend. It’s like all this cliche stuff, but it’s very accurate. It’s very real. And I’m really glad I put a ring on it.’

And while the episode just aired, the actual proposal happened in early June and he posted the happy event on his Instagram account.

‘I asked the love of my life, my best friend @annaspiars to marry me,’ he wrote next to a carousel of photos.

‘Anna love, I’m so excited to keep doing life with you, being weird, growing closer, and loving you more every single day. Thank you for being life’s greatest blessing baby. Thank you for all of your support in every realm of my life.’

In the time since the series finale of Good Bones was filmed, Mina has had a falling out with her mother, Tad and other members of her family.

On the August 28th episode of her Mina AF podcast, she opened up, saying: ‘The current state of affairs is my mom and I aren’t in a great place,’ she said.

‘My brother Tad and I aren’t in a great place.’

‘My brother William and I are in a kind of like a nonexistent place. It’s complicated without even being complicated. We don’t really engage much and the last engagement wasn’t super positive, and that was maybe a year ago,’ she said.

On the October 10 episode of her podcast, Mina admitted she hasn’t talked to her mom in a year and they’ve only been communicating through emails.

‘It just made me even more sad,’ Mina said, reflecting on the email exchange.

‘I don’t know a way forward, which is really frustrating because I want to know a way, and I really think the issue with so many interpersonal relationship problems is when there’s all these layers and all these strings attached.’
