Tamara Ecclestone has first girls’ night away from Sophia

She branded the first day her daughter Sophia went to nursery a ‘tragedy’ and admitted she had ‘barely slept’ out of worry.

And Tamara Ecclestone seemed equally distraught as she enjoyed her first night away from her beloved three-year-old daughter.

The ‘nervous’ billionaire Formula One heiress went for dinner with her friend Victoria, but threatened to leave after fretting over the youngster’s cough – and timed the journey from her house to the restaurant in case she had to rush back.

Bag of nerves: Tamara Ecclestone seemed distraught as she enjoyed her first night away from her beloved three-year-old daughter Sophia

Talking about the milestone step, Tamara almost didn’t leave the house as she worried over Sophia’s cough, in scenes shown on her new ITVBe reality show Tamara’s World.

‘I’m so nervous,’ she said tensely. ‘She was coughing so much and I’m scared the cough is going to wake her up.’

The socialite, who admitted in the episode that she’s a ‘control freak,’ ensured she went to Chinese restaurant Mr Chow’s in Kensington so she could rush back to her £70million house if need be.

She explained, smiling guiltily ‘I did time the journey to the restaurant so I know how long I have to get back.’

And her daughter was still on her mind when she got to the restaurant as she chatted away to Dubai-based Victoria.

She stopped conversation when her phone rang, looking fraught, as she answered it to hear the latest on Sophia.

Sounding tense, she nodded then dropped her shoulders with relief.

Taking a moment to regroup, she gushed to Victoria: ‘She stopped coughing! Oh my God, I was so nervous! I’m literally shaking.’

‘I feel sorry for Tamara in that she is unable to live her life, this is so difficult to watch,’ one wrote.

‘Her marriage does not appear healthy & her poor daughter needs children’s company. not a good situation for any of the three.’

‘ “OMG Fifi coughed I’m so shocked” I really think this girl is as intelligent as a pea. Setting female empowerment back decades!’ another added.

‘I’m happy for me, Jay and Fifi to go for dinner, or to the park together but Jay prefers more one on one time.

‘If I had a gun to Jay’s head and asked if I was a better wife to you or better mum to Fifi I know he would say better mum to Fifi,’ she added. ‘When push comes to shove he’s actually not that selfish.’

She added that one of the ‘only things’ they argue about is whether to have a second child – something Tamara is against.

‘He really wants one and I really dont want one. I feel guilty to Fifi, that she won’t have all my love,’ she said.

‘I feel like Fifi was born to be an only child. I know Jay wants more kids. Fifi and I don’t want more right now.

‘Jay said it’s so nice for them to have a sibling and a best friend but they may hate each other, there’s no guarantees.’

Tamara previously came under fire for ‘spoiling’ daughter Sophia, who has her own ice palace, personal butler and only travels by private jet.

But Tamara brushed off the critics as she treated her three-year-old tot to a pampering session at the beauty salon inside her home.

The heiress invited a team of beauticians to give her and the youngster matching sparkly manicures and pedicures.

Speaking about her beauty salon, Tamara admitted that it was ‘kind of a waste of space’ as she barely used it.
