Tammy Hembrow announces the birth of her first child with fiancé Matt Poole

Tammy Hembrow has welcomed her first child, a baby girl, with her fiancé Matt Poole.

On Sunday, the fitness mogul shared a series of intimate photos from her labour to Instagram and revealed she had a natural birth.

‘The absolute hardest yet most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. An unmedicated VBA2C. No words,’ Tammy, 28, wrote.

‘Birth story to come. For now just resting in my love bubble with my perfect little girl wow,’ she added.

In one photo, Tammy can be seen holding her newborn daughter minutes after she was born, while Matt supported her nearby.

She also posted another picture of herself standing in a shower while in labour.

Tammy announced she was expecting her first child with her Ironman fiancé Matt in December.

The Saski Collection founder shares two children, son Wolf, six, and daughter Saskia, five, with her ex-fiancé Reece Hawkins.

She previously revealed in an Instagram video, she was planning on having a natural birth despite doctors urging her to have a caesarean section.

‘I’ve just had a doctors appointment at the hospital where they tried to convince me once again to have another C-section, which I’m not doing,’ she said.

‘This time the doctor was definitely going hard to convince me and trying to scare me into having another C-section but I know all the figures and risks.’

Tammy went on to say she’s ‘hoping for a good outcome’ but will have an emergency C-section if needed.

‘I will cross that bridge when I come to it but I’m just not giving in so easy. I want to experience a [natural] birth. I feel like I can do it, I feel like my body can do it.’

She also recently revealed her baby has 12 fingers – the same rare mutation she was born with.

‘We just saw the little baby, and the surprise was that she has 12 fingers, like me, like her mummy,’ Tammy said.

She further explained that her sisters, mother and brother also had the mutation, but her first two children, son Wolf, six, and daughter Saskia, five, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Reece Hawkins, did not.
